James Byron Dean. Where do I begin with my love for James?

I'm not really sure why my obsession with James Dean started but I don't think my love for him will ever die. It started during my obsession with James Franco when I decided to binge-watch all of James Franco's movies and I stumbled across him acting as James Dean. 

I got curious with who James Dean was. Who was this tortured soul and what was his story?

Maybe it was his mystery. No one really knew who James Dean was. Maybe it was his eternal youth that got me feeling some type of way. "Live fast. Die young." So I did the only thing a fangirl could do: RESEARCH. I downloaded all his movies. There were only 3 to begin with. Then I downloaded documentaries and movie biographies related to him. And then one day, I was at a second-hand book shop and I randomly found the limited edition Life magazine of James Dean: A Rebel's Life in Pictures for only 88 Philippine pesos STILL IN PRISTINE CONDITION. (about $1.84) That's when I knew it was fate. My obsession became stronger.

He's the O.G. The original rebel. He did things because he wanted to do them, not because someone told him to do it. He definitely had daddy issues. That showed in all his movies. I bet at least 5 famous actors now can say that they look up to James Dean. James wasn't like the others, that is why I like him. He was and still is a legendary icon. He was young and he wanted to be free. Something I wanted too. I just can't pinpoint why I am obsessed and attracted to him, I just am. I could give you his "background" but I'm too lazy and you can find that on Wikipedia. 

Do I wish he lived longer? Yes and no. Sure, I selfishly wish there were more films he made but I also love that he went out the only way James Dean should have went: young, fast and free.
