January Favorites

Before I revamped my blog, I used to do a segment I made up called FAVORITES and UNFAVORITES where I would list a couple of favorite and not so favorite things about my life that happened that week. I wasn't really enjoying it. AT ALL. I didn't like the "weekly"-ness of the segment and I also didn't like the negative side of it with the UNfavorites. So I stopped... but I want to try it again. This time, just MONTHLY favorites. So here I am writing my first monthly favorites post. (Before the month is even over too!)
This is January 2016.
I just deleted the app, not my account. I do still have the app on my iPad though. I just didn't want the temptation of checking it while out and about. I'm trying a new thing where I only check my Facebook timeline twice a day (morning and evening). I know I'm still tempted to just go on Facebook through the browser of my phone but everyone knows that's just a hassle.
Okay, okay. So this came out about a week ago but damn I literally watched the trailer at least 5 times straight. Margot Robbie is just so perfect as Harley Quinn!!! "What was that? I should kill everyone and escape? ... Sorry. The voices. I'm kidding. That's not what they really said."
One of my life goals I made late last year was to reach out and hang out more with old friends. So I made it my goal to rekindle friendships this month. I reached out to my high school friends and my college friends I don't regret doing it. I used to get so anxious about this but my anxiety has lessen. This is my favorite thing from January.
I know what you're thinking: "But I thought she was going to write about positive favorite things?" This is. I needed that shitty week. I needed those 3-4 days of sadness because it helped me a little to overcome something I've been feeling guilty about. I don't feel so guilty about it anymore. I just got to get used to choosing me.
I love James Corden. I love his carpool karaoke segments. The first time I saw the teaser of him and Adele, I went apeshit. I love Adele. I've been a fan since the album 19. She's just so perfect in every way. I love the fact that they both sang "ALL I ASK" which is my favorite song from her new album, 25.
The best thing I decided to invest in was a planner. I never thought I would even use it but now I'm obsessed. I love writing inspirational quotes throughout the week in it. My planner helps me with my sanity.
Lately I've been obsessed with cute puppies. I've been saving multiple pictures of them and I got to hold a couple of them at my friend's house the other week. I almost died because I couldn't handle the cuteness! I really really REALLY want a puppy! Haha
I'm really proud of my blogging schedule lately. I've posted more this month than I did before I stopped blogging last year. I love being inspired to blog and being inspired to write because I haven't felt that way in a long time.
This word has gotten me through January and will continue to get me through every month for the rest of my life. I was so down last month until I decided to make this word my mantra. (along with the word "flourish" but we'll save that for another post) No matter how cliche it may sound, being positive and telling yourself that it will get better, helps so fucking much. FUN FACT: Every night before I go to sleep, I list a good thing about my day. My best friend and I started doing this about 3 years ago. (I didn't do it last year) I swear it helps. It just gives off positive vibes.
