When my sisters and I were told we had to make a snack on Christmas day, we went into full panic. We were standing in the middle of the breakfast isle in the store, clueless as can be. We had to rule out some factors like we couldn’t use our oven or use the stove (they would be occupied throughout the day) and it had to be quick and easy. We then thought of things that we already had a home, like marshmallows. We thought that maybe we could just do S'mores, like we would usually do but we wanted something different. In the end, we decided to make S'more flavored Rice Krispies Treats since it was just as easy as making just s'mores. Here is the recipe we put together:

INGREDIENTS:

5 tablespoons of butter
1 cup of crushed graham crackers
10 oz of large marshmallows
8 cups of Cocoa Rice Krispies cereal

OPTIONAL:

1 cup of crushed M&M's

INSTRUCTIONS:

We first melted the 5 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over low heat.
After the butter was completely melted, we added the 10 oz of marshmallows gradually to the saucepan with butter.
We stirred the saucepan until the marshmallows were mixed and melted with the butter.
We then added the 8 cups of Cocoa Rice Krispies cereal and 1 cup of crushed graham crackers to the melted mixture and stirred until the cereal was well coated.
After lining a reasonable sized pan with wax paper, we then pressed the mixture evenly into the pan. We let it cool down for about 10 minutes.
Optional: After letting it cool down, we then sprinkled crushed M&M's on the S'mores Rice Krispies Treats for a little added flavor,
We then cut the final product into squares.

.... AND THEN WE DEVOURED THEM.

Disclaimer: Since this was last minute, we weren't really prepared with enough ingredients. I suggest using at least 2 packs of 10 oz marshmallows to get the gooey goodness.
